Made in house here at EVT, the Nylatron Bearing replaces the older thrust bearing that was previously supplied with the Right Arm Repair Clamp.

We changed from a ball bearing to a plastic Nylatron Bearing in order to improve reliability (ball bearing cages are prone to failure), take advantage of a longer service life and reduce the chance of bending the pivoting arm (as the ball thrust bearing could result in over-tightening). We modified our bearing races with our factory lathe to not catch on the threads while being tightened. Plus they are more cost effective!

Simply put, the Nylatron Bearing performs better and supersedes the ball thrust bearing.
